ESB's Skills for Life qualifications are contextualised to support ESOL learners in Family Language groups and are available from Pre-Entry to Level 2. Students are able to demonstrate Listening and Speaking skills in topics related to their Family Learning interests. Group assessment at the usual learning venue is relaxed and non-threatening - a great way to step onto a progression route!
Or are your learners in a mixed Family Learning or Community group? The ESB Entry Level Foundation qualifications provide for these learners in FUNDABLE stepped Entry level qualifications designed to demonstrate progression, available at all Entry levels. Ofqual accredited and fundable - see Entry Level Foundation for more information, or follow YPLA and Foundation Learning
The YPLA have updated their guide on Foundation Learning which confirms that providers can ‘deliver any qualification that is valid for funding on the LAD at entry level and level 1 with the exception of Key Skills' which confirms that Foundation Learning is no longer restricted to QCF qualifications. The guide can be viewed here: A Guide to Funding Foundation Learning
