The New ESB ESOL for Work Qualification
ESB offers its new accredited qualification as an all-modes single unit ESOL qualification, covering Speaking and Listening with Reading, and Writing.
Entry 3 : Funding Reference Code - 500/2185/0
Level 1 : Funding Reference Code - 500/2138/2
This new category of qualification meets the immediate English language acquisition needs of learners who are in employment or who are intending to work in this country, but who do not intend to become citizens of the UK.
This category of qualifications offers opportunities for the accreditation of flexible (short course) programmes of delivery that can target the immediate, broad, work-related needs of candidates.
Other ESB ESOL qualifications are still accredited and available for use (see ESOL Skills for Life or EAL/ESOL).
Who Benefits From ESB ESOL for Work?
This flexible and innovative qualification will address work- and industry-related language. Students or employers have a high level of ownership through their choices of material to demonstrate competence.
Vocabulary and Employer or Industry-specific Language: The tasks for this qualification have been written to enable contextualision, linked to the work environment of student and employer. We welcome the provision of Employer or Industry-specific Language and vocabulary at the time of booking, to ensure that this is achieved.
